What Does a Wedding Stylist do

I had the honor of being the visual stylist for Kacey and Royal’s spectacular wedding day. I am thrilled to share all the enchanting details with you! As a wedding stylist based in California but traveling worldwide, my mission is to transform dreams into reality by curating the visual aesthetics that resonate with the couple’s unique personalities and desires.

What Does a Wedding Stylist do:

Theme and Concept Development:

Royal and Kacey shared their dreams and preferences with me to get everything started. The vision they had for their wedding was radiating elegance and timeless beauty. Drawing inspiration from their love story and style, we collaboratively developed a concept that would weave throughout their special day. This theme became the guiding light for all the creative decisions.

Color Palette and Decor:

Choosing the color palette sets the tone for the entire wedding. Once the colors are selected, the wedding stylist will curate and design the decor elements. This can range from table settings to floral arrangements and everything in between. The most important part is ensuring that all decor matches the chosen theme and color scheme. Once these things are in place, the planner will pass this information along, as was the case with Kacey and Royals wedding.

Floral and Greenery Design:

Working closely with the Bello & Blue Events team, they designed breathtaking floral arrangements that enhanced the space. The choice of flowers and greenery added natural beauty and tied seamlessly into our chosen theme.

Visual Storytelling:

A fantastic wedding stylist will create a cohesive visual narrative. I considered the placement of every element. Each detail that we carefully thought out contributed to Kacey and Royal’s love story. It was essential for everything to flow harmoniously, evoking emotions and telling a tale of romance.

Styling Flat lay Details:

As a wedding stylist, one of my favorite aspects of a wedding day is creating incredible flat lays. I arranged props and incorporated personal heirlooms for Royal and Kacey’s wedding. Each flat lay needs to tell a story and showcase all of the little details.

Stylizing Photo Opportunities:

When hiring a wedding stylist, they will ensure every corner looks impressive for photos, from the ceremony space to the reception area and the couple’s portrait backdrop. These spaces not only provide beautiful backgrounds for the pictures, but they also add to the overall atmosphere.

Collaboration With Other Vendors:

It’s always wonderful when I collaborate with fellow vendors to ensure a seamless execution of a wedding day. Communication between all wedding vendors before and during the big day will make the day flow perfectly.

Being a California wedding stylist is a true passion of mine. When I get to create new ideas and plans for couples or wedding vendors, it’s always such a privilege.
