The Elms Mansion Wedding - Type A Society

It was a beautiful spring day for Chris and Erica’s wedding at The Elms Mansion in New Orleans!

As their wedding stylist, it was a pleasure to see everything come together on their wedding day. Their theme heavily revolved around springtime, using colorful pinks and yellows. Everything was so romantic and yet had such a classy appearance and feel.

When I first arrived at The Elms Mansion, I set up different flatlays for their incredible wedding photographer, Mon Soleil, to photograph. Since the invitation suite had a yellow envelope, I thought using a pink background would look great. Erica had the cutest bridal details that were mainly all pink! In one of the flatlays, we used a light gray background to make the pink shoes, purse, and perfume really pop. Additionally, I created a flatlay featuring Chris’ details. They were so classy. The white styling props and light background revealed the details of his bowtie, cologne, and watch.

Peonies and roses adorn Erica’s cheerful bouquet. The pops of yellow made her bouquet tie together their spring vibe. Her bridesmaid’s dresses were gorgeous, and their dress colors looked so good together! Some girls wore a light pink shade, while others wore a yellow hue.

Colorful flowers adorned their two-tier wedding cake. To make the cake table stand out, we placed it in front of a big pink backdrop. The backdrop then provided the perfect setting for a few newlywed portraits!

They had a traditional New Orleans second line at the night’s end. Seeing everyone dance around was so much fun; even people out on the street joined in. Of course, Chris and Erica had to have the second-line umbrellas with fringe on them. Such a fun tradition!
