One-on-One Wedding Editorial with Marshall Arts Photography

by typeasociety

A few months ago, I teamed up with one of my good friends in the wedding industry, Stacie Marshall. I was ecstatic to do a one-on-one luxury wedding editorial with Marshall Arts Photography.

Destination Wedding Photographer – Stacie Marshall

Stacie, with Marshall Arts Photography, is an amazingly talented destination wedding photographer based out of Richmond, Virginia. The growth of her business had led her to decide that she wanted to transform her portfolio into something new and exciting. I knew it would be fantastic as soon as she contacted me about creating a luxury wedding editorial.

The Inspiration Behind This Luxury Wedding Editorial:

It always amazes me how each wedding editorial starts with a small glimpse of inspiration from an object. Stacie’s great aunt had given her a set of blue and white dishes while she was in college; to this day, she still has them and loves them. Chinoiserie is another love of hers. As a wedding stylist, I knew we could create a dreamy editorial that included blues and whites and incorporate the chinoiserie pattern.

Middleton Place – Charleston Wedding Venue:

Being a California wedding stylist, I knew there would be a wide selection of venues. However, Stacie is in love with Charleston, South Carolina, so we chose a venue there for the editorial. Middleton Place is a beautiful Charleston wedding venue that provided the perfect setting for our vision. The landscape around the property is breathtaking, and there are acres of land we were able to work with for a variety of backdrops.

The day of the Charleston Wedding Editorial:

On the photo shoot day, we were forced to deal with thunderstorms for several hours. We were still able to create excellent content for Stacie despite the rain, thanks to our incredible team of vendors! We incorporated chinoiserie throughout the editorial with Gucci shoes, porcelain dinnerware, and wedding stationery. Since Middleton Place has peacocks roaming the grounds, we also included some inspiration from them.

Our luxury wedding editorial came to life thanks to talented wedding vendors from the Charleston area. This Middleton Place Wedding editorial has been published twice because of Stacie’s incredible photography! Check out the feature in Wedding Sparrow. The Charleston Wedding Magazine was even on the shelves at Barnes & Noble.
